The Pilgrim Heart & Lung Fund has recently agreed to paying for cardiology training for one of Pilgrim Hospital's senior nurses at Bradford University. The course is Practitioner with Special Interest (PSI) in Cardiology. The course is accredited by both the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of General Practitioners. The Trust did not have the monies to support the training of this nurse so the Pilgrim Heart & Lung Fund has agreed to provide the funds for this nurse's training. The course costs £5,000 but will benefit local patients tremendously with the experience and acquisition of cardiology that the nurse will gain from this course.
